Information about the tour
From the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast beaches you leave for your glow worm tour and the tranquil setting of the natural beauty in the hinterland of Queensland at the rainforests of Springbrook National Park, world heritage listed.
Before beginning your easy bush walk to Natural Bridge escorted by a local knowledgeable guide you have a break with time for a quick cup of tea.
In the lush rainforests there are cascading waterfalls dropping down into little pools below. You listen to information about the vegetation and about the ways that the Aboriginal tribes collected their food from the forest, as well as gleaning knowledge of the animal and birdlife that have gathered and now live happily in the environment of the forest.
When leaving Natural Bridge you proceed to watch the sun setting over the Great Dividing Range from the Tamborine westerly lookout.
While waiting for the sky to darken for the right atmosphere of spotting glowworms at their best, proceed to one of the local restaurants for a meal.(this is at your cost)Afterwards the tour takes you on a forty five minute walk to the glow worm caves. On the way many nocturnal creatures are seen and your guide will inform you about their various habits and habitats.
The two caves that are the glowworms home are located beneath a waterfall. At the first cave you have an audiovisual instruction about the life of these tiny creatures. You then proceed to the second cave where they live and become awestruck by the enchanting sight of the thousands of little lights twinkling in the darkness.
Your Glowworm tour is now over and you proceed back to the Gold Coast.
