About The Walking Tour
Since 1994 the comprehensive tour of Natural Arch and Springbrook has been in operation. From stopping for morning tea, enjoying a Barbecue for lunch, feeding birds to a treetop Canopy walk. Furthermore, this is a tour that is suitable for children as well as for grownups to participate in.
Each tour has no more than sixteen people in it so it becomes an experience conducted with a personal touch. You don’t become lost and forgotten as can be the case when together with a large crowd on a tour. There is so much to explore in the area of the Goondawanna rainforest which is so near to the Gold Coast and so easy to see when going on a tour that collects you from your Gold Coast hotel.
With the Natural Arch and Springbrook tour you are taken to venture on a walk to Natural Bridge that’s conducted by a knowledgeable expert guide. Here, is the spectacular Natural Arch Waterfall waters cascading down from the top of a cave of basalt formed over thousands of years. While walking along you listen to a commentary given about the flora and fauna that have made their home in this tranquil atmosphere of the lush rainforest.
As you continue on the walking tour you are wandering through one of only a few remaining pockets of very old Antarctic Beech forest. Arriving at Lookout, you stop and admire the panoramic scenery of Mount Warning, northern New South Wales and the Numinbah Valley.
Further on your walk you come to a charming hinterland restaurant that is a stop for included afternoon tea. Scones that have only recently come out of the oven, together with very tasty jam and cream are on the menu, as well as hot chocolate, coffee and tea to quench parched throats. Then, it is time to visit the viewing platform which is close, and take in Purling Brook Falls. On the homeward walk there are also magnificent views of Rainbow Falls and Twin Falls to see.
