Visiting Crystal Castle is an experience away from the norm of everyday life, filled with mysticism and certainly worth undertaking. Crystal Castle is a short distance away from scenic Byron Bay and as its name implies, there are beautiful crystals to admire there that have been sought from right around the world. Many people consider Crystals as healing stones, and to be a part of this special magic at Crystal Castle also provides you with the opportunity to see ‘the jewel of Byron’ as it is often called.
Open 10am -5pm daily, and only closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday.
The Shambhala Gardens
Among the many points of interest to see at Crystal Castle is the amazing statue of Blessing Buddha that is bigger than life as it stands at a massive four meters tall. Located on the rose quartz lined Buddha Walk, this, together with the many other mystical statues scattered around these very beautiful gardens is an awe-inspiring treasure trove for connecting with ones inner self. The feeling of peace and tranquility is found everywhere you wander.
His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, on his visit to lecture at Crystal Castle, blessed the monumental project, the only Kalachakra World Peace Stupa in the Southern Hemisphere, and set within the Shambhala gardens at Crystal Castle.
While meandering through the magnificent gardens and the restful rainforest, you suddenly find yourself in an old maze reflecting times of long ago. Have no fear; you will be able to find your way out! Other walks include The Bamboo Walk, and The Buddha Walk.
Aura Photos and readings provide insights into people’s individuality, as do the various books of wisdom, as well as visiting The Peace Room.
Daily at 3.10 pm, there is the ‘The Crystal Castle Peace Experience’. This is free and offers peace and a sense of wellness combined with meditations and sacred ‘Kora’ walks for visitors to Crystal Castle to unite and take part.
Activities for children are catered for as well. There is a children’s playground full of magic and mystery for their escape into wonderland and a chance to let their imaginations run wild, which includes ‘Fireheart the Dragon’.
There are exquisite pieces of jewellery for sale and other treasures that make ideal gifts or just memories of a magical moment to keep forever.
